Chief Commercial Officer

Summary of Position

An insurance company specialized in health and life insurance is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer who will be responsible for developing & supervising the commercial strategies, activities and managing the sale team

 He/ She will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Develop & Supervise the commercial strategy and activities

  • Participate in the development of the company’s marketing plan and overall strategy
  • Identify business opportunities with existing and new channels
  • Propose and participate in the elaboration of new insurance products
  • Manage the sales administration function and participate in the elaboration of new insurance products
  • Set the quality standards of the company’s customer service 
  • Develop sales strategies and set targets on the different distribution channels
  • Ensure the efficiency of the sales processes throughout all channels of distribution

Prospect new clients and partners

  • Make contacts with targeted groups
  • Organize and conduct meetings for promotion
  • Ensure the follow up and the registration process

Manage the sales team

  • Monitor and coach the sales teams
  • Ensure the personal and professional development of all your team members
  • Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual commission targets and administer the commission plan
  • Recruiting and training sale staff
  • Ensure all sale team clearly understand their ToRs and fulfil their duties
  • Define quarterly objectives, in accordance with the annual objectives
  • Ensure compliance with the monthly agenda for groups’ follow up 

Reporting and coordination

  • Establish a system of KPI and reports to track the successes of the sales team
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Collect customer feedback and market research
  • Report emergencies related to the Business department
  • Prepare the monthly report of sale performance
  • Prepare the semi-annual activities report related to this department

Other Requirements

  • University degree in Finance & banking, Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experiences in the insurance industry and in managing teams
  • Good verbal communication skills in Khmer and English
  • Flexibility (e.g. adjusting to changing circumstances and working on a variety of tasks)
  • Computer literate MS Word, Excel
