Chief Telephone Operator
Summary of Position
A high quality premium hotel in Cambodia is looking for a Chief Telephone Operator.
The Chief Telephone Operator is working in the operator room and is fully responsible of the overall operations of this operator room. She/he is responsible to ensure that all calls received are answered quickly and that a prompt follow up is done correctly. Her/his tone of voice, politeness & dynamism must be outstanding.
Must have at least 3 years of working experiences as a Senior Telephone Operator and/ or a Call Center Supervisor/ Manager in the 4 and 5 stars Hotel and/ or any related industry.
Good command of written and spoken English and Khmer and is a must.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates activities of TELEPHONE OPERATORS in telephone or telegraph office or in industrial establishment
- Notifies telephone company maintenance department of switchboard operational difficulties reported by operators
- Prepares work schedules and assigns switchboard positions
- Trains new employees and keeps attendance records
- Maintains record of incoming and outgoing long-distance and tie line calls, noting duration time of calls
- Keeps record of employees personal calls forwards record to department head for collection
- Compiles plant phone directory, arranges for distribution to designated personnel, and keeps record of directories distributed
- May supervise operators of telephone answering and message service be designated Supervisor, Telephone-Answering-Service
- Perform a full duties within the framework described in the job description!
- To perform any other particular tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior!
Experience Required
Must have at least 3 years of working experiences as a Senior Telephone Operator and/ or a Call Center Supervisor/ Manager in the 4 and 5 stars Hotel and/ or any related industry
Minimum Educational Level Required
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Career Level Required
Experienced (Non-manager)
Languages Required
Good command of written and spoken English and Khmer and is a must
Other Requirements
- Having a degree in the hospitality industry and/ or any other equivalent
- Well understand PMS, Console and Switch Board
- Computer literate, very good in MS Office, Email and Internet
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong work ethic/ conscientious, self-motivated, leadership, management, demonstrate to high level of inter-personal skills and negotiation skills, results oriented driven
- Be committed to receiving a best achievement
