Customer Service Manager

Summary of Position

Maersk: The role of the Country Customer Service Manager within the Customer Service organisation is to lead, guide and shape his/her team. This includes being fully responsible (and accountable) for the performance of the team, including the customer experience being delivered, the quality of process execution / improvement and the coaching and personal development of the individual staff members within the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the local customer service strategy in order to deliver on the global and local targets and priorities
  • Take an active part in developing the local commercial strategy and contribute actively to the area/global Customer Service strategy
  • Maintain a dynamic and scalable customer service organization in which resources are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Cultivate customer relationship and listen to the voice of customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement, monitor performance against established KPIs and targets; take corrective actions as required
  • Is accountable to own, create, maintain and test a business continuity plan for critical customer processes across products.
  • Drive all aspects of Commercial intelligence within the team and share knowledge to other teams. This includes driving customer and industry knowledge within the customer service organisation

Languages Required

Fluent in English - verbal & written

Other Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in managerial role
  • Industry experience (internal and external)
  • Commercial experience (sales or customer service)
  • Capability to drive change
  • People management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills
