Assistant Laundry Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Laundry Manager with 3 years experience.

The Assistant Laundry Manager to assist in managing the Department independent profit centre.

Insuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Tara Angkor Hotel Standards, Planning, Organizing, directing and controlling the Laundry Department operation and administration.

  • To assist Housekeeping Department operation during absence of Executive Housekeeper
  • Provides productive operation resulting in professionally cleaned pressed linen by supervising, training and directing the laundry operation
  • Administration, Planning, Organization, Directive, Conduct Training, Coordination the activities of Laundry Department and Linen Room Operation
  • Inspect daily quality of Laundry and Dry Cleaning process to insure proper formula procedure are using
  • Assist in the productive and output of linen being processed through the laundry department during peak times
  • Schedules Team Members based upon forecasted occupancy, anticipates time changes in occupancy and revise strategies
  • Maintain linens in accordance with the hotel standards by monitoring condition of linens and repairing and/ or replacing linens as necessary
  • Schedules any special job not done on a daily basis
  • Attend to any special requests concerning guests laundry or dry cleaning when applicable
  • Provides written and verbal reports required to keep the Executive Housekeeper or Room division Manager informed on the status of the laundry operation and report based on unusual or extra ordinary problems
  • Ensures washer are being supplied with chemicals and there is proper stock of supplies in the laundry Writes maintain orders as needed. Report to maintenance any defects in the equipment and may make recommendations based upon experience. Liaise with maintenance for servicing of equipment or other actions that must be taken
  • Assures that preventive maintenance is carried out as stipulate
  • Check linens par stock used in rotation
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and F&B departments concerning their linen requests and recommend purchases
  • All discarded linens to be delivery daily to Linen Room for Monthly Inventory
  • Make regular linen inventories in coordination with the Housekeeping Department
  • Train  employees in the proper operation of laundry equipment
  • Take corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas
  • May assist with the selection new hires
  • Conduct effective meetings counselling session as required
  • Interpret policies and procedures and ensure proper standards of conduct are maintained
  • Provide value added service to guest by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed our guest’s expectation, “Service without compromise”.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-worker as needed
  • Communicate effectively with guests and management
  • Performed other duties as required to provide excellent service and teamwork
  • Proper handling of laundry equipment must be maintained at all times
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of all laundry machines, dry cleaning techniques and laundry chemical usage
