Head of Commercial


Our client is an international pharmaceutical company in Cambodia. Currently, they are looking for a Head of Commercial who will have an end-to-end responsibility, covering P&L, Revenue Management, Market Access, Customer/Client Management, Contract Sales Development, New Product Launches, In-licensing of new Products, Agency Development, Regulatory Affairs, Sales Force Effectiveness and Capability Building. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.


P&L Management

  • Develop and lead the execution of a commercial solutions strategy to deliver high double-digit growth year-on-year and to further establish the business as the leading service pharma company in Cambodia
  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable


  • Lead the marketing team
  • Develop marketing and launch plans for brands under management
  • Determine positioning of the products
  • Define channel strategies, develop customer/account segmentation and targeting
  • Set the Advertising & Promotion budget. Prioritize investments in line with category and portfolio footprint
  • Review offtake against forecast and objectives and provide valuable insights to all stakeholders


  • Lead the ethical and consumer health sales teams across all channels
  • Determine headcount allocation across channels
  • Lead the Salesforce Effectiveness function
  • Develop and implement SFE tools
  • Deliver on the sales budget

Market Access

  • Continuously assess Go-To-Market models
  • Further develop and optimize the current route to market for consumer health products

Client / Business Development (support the Business Development Team)

  • Support on the identification and evaluation of business opportunities/leads in the ethical, consumer health and medical device space
  • Build collaborative relationships with Client Companies
  • Support the negotiation process for new business and business under renewal. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms
  • Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients


  • General Manager


  • A University degree, ideally in Business or a medical discipline                                                                                    
  • Strong understanding of the infant formula and/or pharmaceutical industry with significant commercial experience, experience in Cambodia is an advantage
  • Demonstrable experience in leading large teams and in holding P&L responsibility
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable in questioning, challenging and inspiring people; comfortable in interacting with business leaders, customers and others
  • Culturally sensitive and know how to have conversations with partners that will positively impact the relationship while being sensitive to the local culture and with the culture of our clients
  • An entrepreneur, have a passion to grow the business and a passion for self-development and career growth
