Our client is an international school in Cambodia. They are looking for a Khmer Language Teacher who will be responsible for delivering full-time, high-quality Khmer language classes to students at the elementary and secondary levels while working collaboratively with the Languages Team. The focus of this instruction will be language acquisition. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

• Support and follow the school policies and procedures

• Plan and design language learning activities that incorporate a range of instructional strategies and include the appropriate use of digital technology

• Teach Khmer language classes as per the schedule provided

• Use student assessment and evaluation practices that accurately reflect the learner outcomes within the Khmer Language Program

• Employ classroom management strategies that promote a positive, welcoming and engaging learning environment

• Communicate with parents via Google Classroom and be available for in-person meetings and workshops

• Join Languages Team and all-staff meetings; participates in professional development activities

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator, Principals or Head of School

Program Coordinator, Principals

• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience teaching Khmer preferred

• Fluency in written and spoken Khmer

• Proficiency in English enabling conceptual explanations of language concepts and active participation in discussions with the Languages Team regarding curricula, etc.
