People Lead

Our client is one of an international standard airline company which specialized in travel and logistic service. Currently, they are seeking for a People Lead who will be the business partner for all Human Resources processes, policies and practices for the country team and partner with all departmental heads and line managers to recruit, develop and support all employees. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh

Local People Expertise and Processes

  • Provide a reliable, approachable point of contact for Human Resource queries from the local team
  • Act as a contact point for union or employee committee relationships on a day to day level and cater for different requests from employee groups
  • Conduct committee meetings to support key objectives of employee and company working groups including safety committees, focus groups or consultation meetings
  • Ensure that the organization people processes are conducted in an accurate and customer focused manner
  • Ensure that all people processes are conducted in a compliant manner and work with regional teams to address any compliance issues in a timely fashion
  • Ensure key processes such as timekeeping, leave and attendance, payroll and related administration are completed in an effective manner and that country line managers and employees are well informed of processes and policies
  • Ensure that local people data is accurate and updated within the relevant systems in a timely manner
  • Provide input on local legal requirements or industrial circumstances
  • Assist in the preparation of annual staff budgets and remuneration review processes, analysis and communications to support this

Provide In-country People Support

  • Provide professional advice and support to line managers and the Country Manager on day to day people issues and concerns
  • Act as a point for reporting people issues that are raised including discrimination, bullying or harassment, health and safety or conflict resolution
  • Actively support the Country Manager to create a positive and supportive culture within the Outport such as supporting the cascade of key communications on strategy or people processes
  • Provide immediate and hands-on support to people issues that emerge and escalate to country leadership or the regional people team for support
  • Respond as first point of contact to any business risks, business continuity or Emergency and Accident requirements
  • Any other reasonable task as requested

People Development and Engagement

  • Work with the global people team and regional people manager to design and execute local programmes to drive engagement, performance culture, training, reward, and recognition to help nurture the organization culture
  • Proactively support line managers on performance management process, performance improvement programmes and team building
  • Communicate key people policy changes or programmes to the local team with relevant local context
  • Provide detailed feedback on global people initiatives and how they are working in the local context
  • People Policy Communications and Employee Support
  • Act as the day to day point of contact for Human Resource enquiries from line managers and employees
  • Provide professional advice on Human Resource policies, contractual entitlements and day to day processes
  • Escalate complex queries to the Country Manager or to the regional people team for advice and support to resolve quickly
  • Ensure relevant global and local policies are designed and communicated to ensure regulatory compliance and ensure employees and managers are clear on company policy
  • Support and coach line managers on the application of company policy

E&A

  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required​

  • A degree in Human Resources or related discipline is an advantage
  • Knowledge, skills, training and experience
  • At least 3 years recent experience working in a Human Resource capacity
  • Experience of working in airlines in an advantage
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrable ability to handle conflict and mediate to achieve a timely and positive outcome
  • Has an approachable and open style of communication
  • Practical knowledge of Human Resource compliance and processes
  • Collaborative and works well with remote teams
  • Proactive and energetic
  • High levels of integrity, trusted and able to exercise discretion
