Unisun Development Corp is seeking for a Site Engineer to assist in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects. They manage parts of a construction project (work packages), providing technical advice, supervising staff on site and ensuring that their packages are completed on time and within budget. Site engineers are responsible for planning, marking out and levelling construction sites before any building work takes place. 

The location of work is - Road Number 4, Pong Tuek Village, Damnak Ampil Commune, Angh Snoul District (About 30 kms from Phnom Penh centre).

• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially the planning department and senior construction manager
• Liaising with the planning department about the ordering of materials
• Undertaking surveys
• Setting out sites and organising facilities
• Managing parts of construction projects
• Overseeing building work
• Supervising contract staff
• Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
• Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
• Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions
• Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
• Maintaining accurate inventory at the jobsite and ensuring that the supplies are properly maintained
• Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to; and
• Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the management

The Site Manager

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 4-5 years of experience in civil engineering
• Quality control experience will be a plus
• Experience in management of multicultural project teams in an expatriate environment is desirable
• Basic design and drawing program
• Language: Fluent English in both spoken and writing
• Attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements, design/site drawings, quality of finishing works and construction standard methods
• Knowledge of software used in project management
